Poland (officially the Republic of Poland) is a country in Central Europe.

The Polish national football team is also known as “The white and reds” and “The White Eagles”. Their first international performance was in 1921. As a co-host of the UEFA EURO 2012, Poland will make its second appearance at European football championships. The country’s achievements at the FIFA World Cups are much more significant: 7 appearances and 2 third places – in 1974 and 1982. Prior to EURO 2012, the team’s all-time top goalscorer is Włodzimierz Lubański with 48 goals.
