Denmark is a country in northern Europe. Under the name Kingdom of Denmark, it also consists two other autonomous countries: Faroe Islands and Greenland.
The Danish national football team, also known as the Danish Dynamite or The Red and Whites, played its first international match back in 1908 (5-1 victory over France B). Denmark have seven appearances at UEFA EURO Championships, winning the one in 1992. On the world scene the team have played a quarter-final at FIFA World Cup 1998. Before EURO 2012, all-time top goalscorers are Poul “Tist” Nielsen and Jon Dahl Tomasson, both scored 52 goals.
